Visit Our New Site

One Connected Community

Linked directly from this new web site is a password protected, interactive, online community, MyEllis. Through MyEllis all Ellis constituents are linked to the full Ellis experience. Teachers, parents and students can now collaborate in ways that take an Ellis education to an entirely new level.

Teachers enhance the classroom with links, videos and other electronic curriculum while parents access information unique to their daughters' Ellis experience including schedules and homework assignments. Soon, Alumnae will also have an environment where they can learn more about the school and each other. They will be able to post news about themselves, read class notes, and see at a glance what alumnae activities are scheduled in their area.

Participate, Contribute, Excel

We are a unique academic community that gives girls the courage to succeed by offering challenge without constraint. Our new web site prepares them to participate, contribute and excel in a global community as never before.

The Ellis School has taken a major step forward in transforming the school web site into an active focal point of collaboration. I see this in my daughters' daily interaction with the site as they work on homework and access resources, and I also see it in my family's use of the site to better participate in the rich life of the school."

- Bill Scherlis, Professor, CMU Department of Computer Science, Trustee, The Ellis School

Recent studies suggest there is a predictive relationship between girls interest in science careers and their use of the web. The Ellis model does exactly that; I'm extremely encouraged by how their strategy will lead to girls moving toward science, math and technology careers."

- Jennifer Stancil, Executive Director, Girls, Math & Science Partnership; online at BrainCake.org

I love the way Ellis teachers embrace new technologies, using the interactive web for creation, collaboration, and critical thinking. Our new web site will let our greater community share in the everyday excitement of an Ellis classroom."

- Elizabeth Perry, Technology Integration Specialist, The Ellis School
