The following is a collection of essays from this year's 8th grade history class about the issues they studied during the Spring of 2002. Their information was collected from a variety of sources, including the Internet; reference books; videos; interviews with relatives, school personnel, and officials at the embassies of Singapore and Italy; and periodicals.
These essays are intended to provide a global "sketch" of the issues of terrorism, poverty, and water viability; however, they are NOT intended to be used as resources, themselves. Visitors are encouraged to explore the resources listed after each essay to learn more about these important topics.
